Chairman and CEO, Riverboat Discovery, 1991 2005. The Riverboat Discovery
owns and operates the Riverboat Discovery III, a 900-passenger sternwheeler; the
Discovery II, a 400-passenger sternwheeler; and the Discovery I, a 150-passenger
sternwheeler. The Riverboat Discovery tour has been rated the #1 boat tour in North
America.
President, El Dorado Gold Mine, 1993 2005. The El Dorado Gold Mine offers
visitors an opportunity to experience gold mining history and a modern day mining
operatio n.
Owner, Northwest Navigation, 1977 1986. Built, operated, and owned a business in
Bethel, Alaska which hauled freight on the Yukon and Kuskokwim Rivers. Started with a
leased tug and two barges and built into a substantial business with tugs, barges,
stevedoring, local trucking, and construction. Eventually sold to Crowley Maritime.
