BREAKING NEWS:
Yesterday, BP Chief Executive Lord John Browne echoed the message I’ve been delivering throughout my campaign: we have time to make sure the gasline deal is right for Alaska. Lord Browne told the audience that, “despite pressure from the Bush Administration and Alaska's governor,” there is no “short window” of opportunity. My goal has always been to get a gasline deal on Alaska’s terms – and I know we can do it in a timely manner. We all want it done soon, but we also want it done right. I’m glad Lord Browne agrees there is “no need to rush.” You can read the article here
DEBATES:
This past week I participated in three debates – from the Kenai Peninsula to Juneau. These debates provide an excellent opportunity to discuss the issues and allow voters to draw clear distinctions between candidates. Below are some links to the coverage we received in the debate hosted by the Juneau Chamber of Commerce yesterday.

Our newest TV commercial is now on the air. In the commercial I roll out my ethics plan, and discuss how I will restore trust in our state government. If you haven’t seen it yet, it is posted on our website.

I’m definitely not slowing down in the last few weeks. Here’s what’s happening this coming week:

We need your help in the last few weeks of the campaign! We have a number of activities planned leading up to Election Day. We need help making phone calls, knocking on doors, delivering signs, running errands, and waving signs around town.
